Aware Living aims to guide you to be able to respond to life’s challenges with true intelligence (wisdom) and equanimity.
AL is simply making a commitment to living fully in each moment and being as kind as we can be in each moment - to ourselves and others.
AL is having the intention of living each day with conscious awareness of our inner states of mind and body. We begin to do this by connecting with the senses of the body and breath.
This awareness helps us to regulate thoughts and emotions so that we are guided to respond to ourselves and others with more care and consideration.
The result is that we positively influence our own and others’ wellbeing, resulting in more satisfying relationships, autonomy and equanimity when dealing with life’s challenges.

Simply, mindfulness is being present to our life as it happens by raising awareness of our experiences: Noticing experiences now in this moment, not anticipating the future or lost in the past.
Mindfulness allows us to see our thoughts and feelings as they arise, not after we’ve become overwhelmed by them. It is very powerful to know what we are feeling as we are feeling it. Know what we are thinking as we think it.
Mindfulness empowers us by creating internal space where we can choose what to strengthen and what to let go of. We no longer have to be at the mercy of old habits, ways of thinking or ways of being.
While being a simple technique, it takes practise to do!
