Mindfulness for Illness and Pain

  • Six-week practical program

  • 1.5 hour weekly meetings

  • Closed group of 4-6 participants

  • Face-to-face or online (Google Meet)

What’s included?

Teachings and learnings are based on a unique program developed by Rachel over twenty years: combining theoretical knowledge at Masters level (Education and Counselling) and her lifelong commitment to personal understanding and development. Some of you may know this as living your best life.

Program content draws from Oxford University’s Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, Breathworks UK, The Work of Byron Katie, Eckhart Tolle’s teachings, Neuroscience, Body-Centred Psychotherapy and Integrative Counselling.

What can I expect?

  • An inclusive program where all are welcomed into a safe environment where trust and confidentiality are highly regarded.

  • Six weeks’ learning about the physiological, mental and emotional impacts of stress, pain and illness.

  • Combination of theory and practise.

  • Practise a range of techniques and approaches to prevent or minimise negative impacts.

What will I learn?

  • Skills to develop regular awareness of your thoughts and emotional state to be more in charge of how you live your life.

  • Notice the triggers of your stress, worry, fear or anxiety and how they impact you personally - on all levels of your being - so you can address them early.

  • Create internal distance or space from thinking about stressful situations and events.
